This is my race car..
The project is on hold, and
the car is for sale.
HA/GR the
HORRIBLE

The
object of this class is to have fun....
2007
- The car began life as a club project being built mainly in my garage in
Cincinnati. It was designed by Jim Leis (Blown49 on the HAMB).

5-15-08
After the club came apart in Cincinnati, We all took back those things we paid
for. The car was completely disassembled. My
job caused a move to St. Louis and the winter in outside storage was not kind to
the car's chassis.
As you can see it gathered a
light coat of surface rust.
6-06-2008 I have almost
completed the removal of that rust. I'm doing a bit at a time and painting the
metal to prevent a re-occurrence of the rust due to the dampness here from all
the rain.
6/10/2008
- Above.... Another front end has been obtained and last night after an epic 2 week
struggle and with the assistance of a good friend named Jim Brinkley, the perch
pins released their strangle hold on the axel.....FINALLY! The carnage was
EVERYWHERE.
6/30/2008
Finally got the
Flathead back between the rails.

The
bones have been cut, cleaned and primered.

When
the Bones are in place these ends will need to be bent to allow the Spring and
Shackles to work.

Next
job will be to clean up the axle and backplates

I
got patterns made for the sheet metal on the sides, and cowl

Still
looking for a tranny mount.

The
end for today:

August
4th:

Current
status:
The car has
been moved to another garage for storage:

We
were in the process of lowering the roll cage 8" when I pulled the plug on
the project. The cage is mostly un-attached, so the chassis could either be used
for a Hot Rod or an HA/GR car. It is in a dry garage, and I will either part the
car out, re-do the car into an RPU or something, or sell it outright.
